Flat and Concave bits, are suitable for drilling in very hard formations or in the discontinuities that can be found, and so has the danger of breaking the buttons of the bits. Concave bits allow doing the same drilling tasks as the flat ones but thanks to its geometry require less effort from the machine, with the added advantage of experiencing less deviations in the drilling.
